Find Number : 107

We’ve been to Headings Cliff a number of time previously to admire the views.

On this occasion we were brought back to Headings Cliff to locate the geocache which had recently been placed in the vicinity. Having quickly found the geocache and logged our find, we climbed the look out to admire the views and take some more photographs.

Find Number : 106

Once again we have been taken to a place which we’ve never previously visited.

We didn’t know what to expect of the mud flats following the previous days rain.

We were pleasantly surprised as to how easy a drive-by this cache turned out to be. Most likely wouldn’t have “paddock bashed” a standard 2WD, but in the 4WD it was not difficult to reach at all.

Find Number : 105

We had previously driven down this way to find two other geocaches which are nearby to this geocache.

The Big Pelican is too large to miss and is an easy drive by find. We easily found the geocache and logged our find.

Find Number : 104

Once again, another perfect day weather wise to sit outside and enjoy lunch with other geocachers.

Amazingly I was seated next to another Riverland cacher who was attending the lunch.

These get togethers are what makes geocaching an enjoyable pastime.

Find Number : 103

It has been very frustrating not having a reliable 4WD for the past three months and we reluctantly decided to cut our losses and trade the old geocache mobile in for a new geocache mobile.

This cache was our first expedition in the new geocache mobile, and it was quite momentous.

In the company of Skippy we visited the first waypoint in order to ascertain the co-ordinates for the second waypoint.

Having determined the waypoint, we headed off and located the second waypoint, whilst we were looking for the “odd one out” we were unable to locate the cache and logged a “Did Not Find”. No doubt we will return to knock this cache off.

Find Number : 102

This became the fifth and last find whilst on an evenings caching with Skippy.

The park is a credit to the Playford Council. I recall taking my son to this park almost 20 years ago when there was just some very basic picnic facilities and playground equipment for children. The fitness equipment for adults is on par with equipment maintained within some gymnasiums.

In the company of Skippy who had previously found this cache, we expected to log a quick and easy find. Not to be - a strategically parked car (a Holden Commodore - of course) which made it difficult to search the whole area around where the cache should have been.

After searching for ten or so minutes I resigned myself to logging a “Did Not Find”.

Find Number : 101

This was the fourth of five finds on an evening caching with Skippy.

This was another cache which I had previously attempted without success. With a little more information it still took a few minutes to locate the elusive cache container. We both logged our finds and returned the container from whence it came.

Find Number : 100

This was the third of five finds on an evenings caching with Skippy.

I’d previously attempted this cache during daylight but was thwarted by the locals out for a walk. In the dead of night and under the cover of darkness this was an easy find.
