As we were logging the “First To Find” for this cache we met up with FLIPPER&CO. This is becoming a little familiar as last time we met, FLIPPER&CO were logging a “First To Find” at a cache and we rolled up to claim second.

This is a cache that has been on our “must do” list for a little while. Unfortunately the problems we had with our old 4WD geocache mobile meant that it has taken us longer to attempt this cache than we had anticipated. Our first obstacle was to avoid seeing any “white pointers” from the adjacent nudist colony.

I’ve driven past the entrance to Brookfield Conservation Park twice a week for the past three and a half years without having any reason to enter. Finally, the placement of this cache gave me reason to enter.

The driving track is very easy and suitable for 2WD (with caution) and for 4WD.

We’ve been to Headings Cliff a number of time previously to admire the views.

On this occasion we were brought back to Headings Cliff to locate the geocache which had recently been placed in the vicinity. Having quickly found the geocache and logged our find, we climbed the look out to admire the views and take some more photographs.

Once again we have been taken to a place which we’ve never previously visited.

We didn’t know what to expect of the mud flats following the previous days rain.

We were pleasantly surprised as to how easy a drive-by this cache turned out to be. Most likely wouldn’t have “paddock bashed” a standard 2WD, but in the 4WD it was not difficult to reach at all.

We had previously driven down this way to find two other geocaches which are nearby to this geocache.

The Big Pelican is too large to miss and is an easy drive by find. We easily found the geocache and logged our find.

It has been very frustrating not having a reliable 4WD for the past three months and we reluctantly decided to cut our losses and trade the old geocache mobile in for a new geocache mobile.

This cache was our first expedition in the new geocache mobile, and it was quite momentous.
